Communicating with parents and residents is a top priority for the Pittsford Central School District. We communicate with our community in different ways such as newsletters, web postings and email. Beginning this fall, middle and high schools will send morning announcements directly to registered school news recipients. PTSA E-News has done this in the past. The chart below gives an overview of the e-news
vehicles we use. We hope you will take the time to register for some or all of the services appropriate for your needs. Please note that parents who previously registered to receive morning announcements through the PTSA E-News system will not be carried over into these new data bases.

Michael Biondi Appointed Principal of Allen Creek Elementary School
The Pittsford Central School District announced the appointment of Michael Biondi as principal of Allen Creek Elementary School. Biondi will be responsible for instructional leadership, supervision of all instructional and non-instructional staff, facilities management, staff recruitment and hiring, student discipline, staff development and testing for students in grades K-5.
“We interviewed fourteen of the 50 very-qualified candidates who applied for this position,” said Mary Alice Price, Superintendent of Schools, “Mike’s talent and love of education were evident throughout the interview process and every day in his current work at Mendon Center Elementary.”

Stephen Kenny Appointed Assistant Principal
The Pittsford Central School District announced the appointment of Stephen Kenny as assistant principal of Mendon Center Elementary School.
Kenny is currently serving as an assistant principal at Gates Chili Middle School in the Gates Chili Central School District. He has served as a K-12 Instructional Coach and has taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels prior to his assistant principalship.
Kenny earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hobart College, his Masters of Science in Education from Simmons College (Boston, MA) and is currently pursuing his Ed. D. at the University of Rochester.

Pittsford Town, Village, and School District Collaboration
The commitment to work together across municipalities for the betterment of all who live, learn, work and play in the Pittsford community is strong. The elected boards from the town, village, and school district meet once annually to renew their collaboration agreement and to identify ways to work together in the best interest of Pittsford residents. On a more frequent basis, a leadership team including representation from each board and the village mayor, town supervisor, and school superintendent, meets to monitor projects of common interest, share initiatives, and to discuss issues impacting the community.
