A little about the business department . . .

The business classes of today are dynamic, up to date and exciting!

Business and marketing education is all about real careers, real skills and preparation for college.  The selection of college majors bares this out.

  • According to the Princeton Review, Business Administration/Management was the #1 choice for a college major.
  • According to JobFox Accounting majors are one of the most wanted US Job candidates
  • Thousands of students will study business once they graduate from high school.
  • Many of those college business majors, for a variety of reasons, were not high school business students.

We teach skills and content that students want and need:

Students want to know how to stand out in an interview, use computer programs like Excel more efficiently, manage their money at college and beyond, buy and insure a new car, make smart investments, do business on the web, buy their first home, start their own business and become outstanding employees and managers.

These skills among many others are what we teach so well!

A business student today can learn

  • web design and HTML code (Web Page design)
  • how to market products on the web (E-Commerce)
  • laws that apply to doing business on the web (Business Law).
  • the marketing and management of sports, entertainment and hospitality industries (Sports Marketing & Management, Entertainment & Hospitality Management & Marketing)
  • how to manage personal finances and increase investment knowledge while engaging in a fun stock market game (Personal Financial Management).
