Welcome to the Band Program at Calkins Road Middle School

We are very excited to help our students continue their journey as instrumentalists and make some music together!

Music is a valuable part of a child’s education, and band provides a unique opportunity for students. In band, we will work through challenges together as an ensemble while using the creative side of our brains. When asked what they would say to younger students about band, one of our sixth graders said, “Learning a new instrument can be a challenge but once you do it, it is so satisfying. Also, it is a great way to make friends. Plus, it’s really fun to show off your instrument skills.”
