Welcome to creative writing!  This is a workshop-based class which will require students to write in class nearly every day.  Our major units of study are poetry, drama, and short stories.  Through these units we'll work on descriptive language, imagery, characterization, revision, and peer editing.

This class should be the part of a student's day that feels productive yet relaxed--it will feel more like art class than a traditional English class.  Students approach creative work through their own styles and encouraged to try new methods and take risks with their writing.  More than anything, creative writing is meant to grow a part of a student's writing that may not get a lot of attention in a conventional classroom.

Assignments and due dates are determined in class--students should refer to the daily agenda and Remind alerts for updates and changes.
