Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Page

I graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1996 with a degree in Zoology.  I then worked as a paramedic for several years before returning to SUNY Brockport for my Masters in Secondary Science Education.  I began teaching at Wayne Central Schools in 2001, and have been teaching 7th grade Science at Calkins Road since it opened in 2007. I love Pittsford and middle school, and I intend to be here for a long time!

I live in Fairport with my husband, Steve.  Steve is a paramedic at Pittsford Ambulance and he volunteers with the Bushnell's Basin Fire Department.  All of our kids are the four-legged kind - we have a cat named Izzy, a dog named Tucker, a horse named Leo, and a goat named Wilbur.  In my spare time I enjoy hiking with Steve and Tucker.  We hike locally, but also enjoy the National Parks.  This past year we went to Saguaro in Arizona, and Rocky Mountain in Colorado.  I also enjoy trail riding and going to horse shows with Leo.  Additionally, I  still work as a paramedic on the weekends for Perinton Ambulance.

I believe that Science should be fun!  I provide as many hands-on opportunities and chances to use technology as possible, and I love it when I can differentiate instruction and allow you to explore topics that interest you on your own.  My favorite part of the year is when we study Chemical Reactions because there are many experiments involved in that chapter.
