My name is Mrs. VanHeusen and this will be my 4th year teaching First Grade at Park Road Elementary School. I love teaching at Park Road! Prior to teaching in Pittsford, I taught six years for the Greece Central School District. I have taught Kindergarten, Third grade and Math Intervention. Many of you know me as Miss Sweet but I recently got married and changed my name! 

I graduated from SUNY Cortland and received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I continued my education at Cortland and received my Master's degree in Literacy Education.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, friends and my niece and nephew. I love being active so you can either find me hiking, running or doing yoga. I have two cats named Lucy and Zeus who can be active but mostly enjoy sleeping in the sun!
