    Kickball Tournament Unites Community to Send Kids to Camp

    Pittsford Schools and the Urban-Suburban Inter-district Transfer Program, in partnership with YMCA Camp Cory, sponsors an annual KICKS for Campers Kickball Tournament to raise money for scholarships to Camp Cory to help more of our students have the opportunity to attend camp.

    The event typically draws approximately 700 participants who compete in co-ed teams of 10-12 in four divisions: elementary, middle, high school and adult/non-student. Concessions, a food truck, carnival games and student entertainment add to the fun of the day.

    “KICKS for Campers is so much more than a kickball game,” said Pittsford Central School District Superintendent Michael Pero. “This fun family event unites our students, families and community for a great cause. We are supporting our students who otherwise would not be able to have a summer camp experience to attend Camp Cory.”

    In the Third Annual Kicks for Campers tournament in 2019, enough money was raised to send 25 students to YMCA Camp Corey.

    Saturday, May 9 from 4-8 p.m.
    Mendon High School and Thornell Farm Park fields

    Pittsford Schools and the Urban-Suburban Inter-district Transfer Program, in partnership with YMCA Camp Cory, is sponsoring the fourth annual KICKS for Campers Kickball Tournament at Mendon High School and Thornell Farm Park fields on Saturday, May 9, 2020, from 4-8 p.m. Each year, over 500 students play in the tournament to raise money for scholarships to Camp Cory for PCSD students who otherwise would not be able to attend camp.

    • Kickball players will compete in co-ed teams of 10-12 in four divisions: elementary, middle, high school and adult/non-student
    • Concessions and a food truck will be onsite selling food and beverages to fuel our players and spectators
    • News-8 Sports Director Thad Brown will emcee the tournament
    • SPIKE from the Rochester Red Wings will be stopping by!

    Spectator tickets are available at the event for $8. No cost for children ages 5 and under.

    Every Pittsford School was represented on the field. KICKS was an All District Event!

    760 children and adults from Pittsford and our greater Rochester community played kickball!

    62 teams played in the tournament

    150+ Pittsford, Urban-Suburban staff, parents, community members, retired teachers and community leaders from our greater Rochester community volunteered!
