Leadership Development Seminar (LDS) Course Overview
LDS is a course that covers many career and workplace topics including resume and cover letter writing, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, time management, and many others. Students will meet once a week on their assigned day during their lunch period. Each week we will have a lesson addressing these leadership topics, followed the next week by time to write a reflection that discusses what they learned. At the end of the semester, students are required to turn in a career portfolio that summarizes the work they accomplished throughout the semester.
If you want to earn high school credit for your Career Internship Program (CIP) or high school credit for your Cooperative Work Experience Program (Co-Op) - you must complete LDS.
If you are absent on your assigned LDS day, you must come see me to make up what you have missed. All assignments must be submitted via TurnItIn.com. You can find the necessary codes under my LDS Materials page. You may be asked to make additional revisions as necessary. Once assignments are meeting or exceeding expectations, and it is scored in Infinite Campus, transfer a final draft of the assignment into your portfolio folder. Please see me with questions.
