Kindergarteners read the book "Mirette on the High Wire" written and illustrated by Emily Arnold McCully.  We looked at vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines.

The students created a background for their image by using tissue paper lines and water.

A city was added to the bottom again using lines.

The artwork was finished by adding a person on the high wire.
