Ways to help your child
-
Review any work that comes home in your child's folder. Talk to them about mistakes they made and help them understand. I would love to have time to do this individually in school, there just isn't enough time!
Play games. Board games and card games are a great way to practice some math or reading skills.
Read with and to your child. They still love to have that individual attention and snuggle time with a good book. Your child is never too old to sit and listen to you read. They are hearing a good reader which will improve their fluency.
