Instructional Challenge at Thornell Road

  • Instructional Challenge is a philosophy of recognizing student differences, and developing the potential of every child using a variety of strategies in the classroom. Instructional Challenge Coordinators support teachers in their efforts to effectively challenge all students in the academic program K-8.

Some examples of Instructional Challenge at Thornell Road include:

    • Collaboration between the classroom teacher and PC Coordinator on projects and activities

    • Reading buddies
    • Student choice
    • Anchoring activities
    • Pre-assessments
    • Open-ended activities
