Step #2 - Packets (see due dates at top of this page)
    You need two packets.

Parents and children should review the KEEP PACKET. Keep this packet, do not return it.
Complete the RETURN PACKET and turn in the completed RETURN PACKET with transportation fee.
Do not turn in the Return Packet without a transportation check.
Bring the RETURN PACKET to school WITH check for transportation fee.
Turn in the Return Packet AND Check to collection box in room 109.
(see due dates at top of this page)

Step #3 - Check Off List (see due dates at top of this page)
Complete the Ski Club check off list attached below

SKI BUDDY - must be listed on the bottom of the Check Off List.
The Buddy System can be stressful for some. The kids need to talk to each other and have a plan. It is always best if kids work this out. It never seems to work out when school staff assign partners. Groups should be 2-6. Groups are better than pairs because it allows for some flexibility. See members list on TEAMS list to view names of possible ski buddies. Please remind kids to be kind and inclusive.

I encourage parents to talk to each other regarding partners/groups. We find a larger group that can split up at times and be together at other times is a good way to go. Flexible groupings with group members having an agreed upon plan is highly encouraged. This allows for groups to meet the needs of various skill levels. Groups can be with other groups. Parents talking to each other with kids will help with this process.

Step #4 - Student meeting:(see date at top of this page)
Come to the required STUDENT Informational meeting in the Auditorium from 2:30 - 3:35.
Have the check off list with you. BRING THE CHECK OFF LIST to THIS meeting.
Do not turn in this CHECK OFF LIST prior to student meeting.

Step #5 - Quick check of steps and paperwork
    1) Have you completed and turned in the  RETURN PACKET?
*ALL 3 sheets have information for YOU to complete.

    2) Was Transportation Fee/Check payable to BRMS Ski Club attached to the RETURN PACKET?
    3) Is Check-Off List (from KEEP Packet) complete with ski group or partner?
    4) Did you attend the STUDENT meeting?
    5) Did a parent attend the ZOOM meeting?

*When all 5 items above are complete, you will be enrolled in Ski Club. *If any step is incomplete, you will be placed on the Wait List.

    Step #6
Check your status on the Members List frequently throughout the process. If you are missing any of the steps, it will be marked on the TEAMS members list. Students can not ski until all steps are completed. Students that do not attend the required meeting will have that meeting at Bristol and will miss the first 1.5 hours of skiing in order to get that information.  Parents, your child will be spending over 40 hours in Ski Club this season. Attendance at the meetings is crucial for the safety and success of the program.

BOTH the parent's meeting and student's meeting will be less than an hour. Please don't assume these are not necessary because of past participation. I always get a few emails stating, "My kid can't make the meeting, it's fine though, they did ski club last year." We want ski club to be FUN and SAFE. The more everyone knows the expectations, the more successful the experience will be.
