Last week I asked you to investigate different simple machines around your home. This week I am going to ask you to view a few videos of Rube Goldberg Machines. Many of these machines take advantage of simple machines to transfer energy. As you view these videos try to identify the simple machines being used. You will not need to submit a submission this week.

Activity 8: Week of 5/11 to 5/15 (No Submision Required this week)
Over the last two weeks you have learned about simple machines as well as watched some videos of amazing Rube Goldberg Devices. Now is you chance to apply what you have learned. This week you will be completing the design phase. In this phase you will be creating sketches of you device that applies what you have learned. While you will not have a submission this week, the sketches will be used in the coming weeks. Please click on the link below to see the criteria for your Rube Goldberg activity.
Activity 9: Weeks of 5/18 to 5/29 (2 weeks for this assignment)
Starting in the end of April we have been exploring Simple Machines, Energy Transfer, and Rube Goldberg. All of those topics have led up to this point. Over the next two weeks you will build a Rube goldberg device from your design at home. I look forward to seeing what you come up with and the application of these essential learnings. Please have fun with this and come up with some really awesome Rube goldberg Devices.
Week 10: 6/1 to 6/5
Last week you should have completed the Rube Goldberg Activity. In completeing this activity you should have submitted the submission form found above on my website (Rube Goldberg Submission). Additionally you should have noticed on Infinite Campus I have enterted your Tallest Tower. I would like to give you this week to catchup on any old assignments you need to submit or finish up. All old assignments can be found above list in order from oldest to newest. Additionally this gives you time to reflect back on the work you have done over the past ten weeks. What worked well? What could you improve upon? How would you do one of them differently? And what did you learn over the last ten weeks. We are now enetering the final few weeks. Take a deep breath, enjoy the nice weather, And lets finish the school year strong.
