About Mrs. Smith

Family:  I am married and have 2 children, Haylie (16 years old) and Andrew (14 years old).  I have a cat named Lily (9 years old) and a dog named Lacey (8 years old).  I have 2 sisters and I am in the middle!

Teaching:  This year will be my 28th year of teaching!  I have taught computer education to preschoolers and senior citizens, science to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students, and my favorite subject of all, math to 6th and 8th graders.  My favorite age group to teach has been sixth grade because my students are enthusiastic, kind, and eager to learn!!

Education: I have my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and my Master of Science degree in Special Education.  I am certified to teach K-6, 7-12 mathematics, and K-12 Special Education.

Interests: hanging out with my kids, making photo books, photography, technology, reading, cooking, dining out, going to track meets
