Welcome to 7th Grade Technology Education

Technology Education at Calkins Road follows the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) pre-engineering middle school curriculum called Gateway to Technology (GTT).  This cutting-edge program addresses the interest and energy of middle school students, empowering them to lead their own discovery.  GTT’s activity, project, problem based learning incorporates national standards in math, science, and technology.  The four instructional units taught at CRMS are designed to teach students to be creative and innovative, while developing essential skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and perseverance.
