Athletic Director
PATRICK IRVING
The Pittsford Athletic Program is one steeped in pride and tradition. As the Pittsford Director of Athletics, I believe that athletics is a vital part of the entire educational process.
Athletic programs teach student-athletes values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, respect and cooperation. It is my hope that these values learned in Pittsford's Athletic Program stay with our athletes for a lifetime.

Welcome Letter from the Director of Athletics
Dear Pittsford Community,
On behalf of Pittsford Schools, I would like to welcome you to our Interscholastic Athletic Program. Pittsford Schools offer 114 different athletic teams for students in grades 7-12. Our coaching staff consists of certified, dedicated professionals who enjoy working with our student-athletes. They are a group of individuals who work hard and care a great deal about the students for which they are responsible.
We are proud to offer modified, junior varsity and varsity teams. The modified program prepares our young student-athletes for the higher levels of high school competition. To participate at the high school level, a higher refinement of skill is necessary, and completion is viewed at a higher level of comprehension. Our varsity and junior varsity teams strive for success, and practice to produce as efficient a team as is possible.
Pittsford also takes great pride in its commitment to inclusion in our program and is proud to offer multiple Unified Sports teams. PIttsford Athletics provides our students with a place to belong, be challenged and feel supported. We foster an environment for risk-taking and offer support for all students to work toward common goals with the coaching staff.
The Pittsford Athletic Department believes that participation in athletics develops skills that student-athletes will use throughout their lives. Our District Core Values are taught and emphasized in our program. Each student-athlete is supported in the development and use of our Core Values while participating in athletics.
These core values include:
- Student Centered
- Supportive Environment for All
- Continuous Improvement
- Progressive
- Collaborative
If you have any questions about PIttsford Athletics or would like more information about one of our programs, please consult our coaches' contact information, or call the Athletic Office at (585)267-1060.
We look forward to working with you as partners in your child(ren)'s athletic career at Pittsford Schools.
Thank you,
Dr. Patrick Irving, CMAA
