Technology
The goal of the department is to provide Pittsford students and staff with access to current, reliable computer technology that facilitates learning and professional endeavors as well as data analytics to inform and improve teaching and assist with learning.
The Department is guided by the District's technology plan, entitled Tech Quest 9. The Tech Quest plan is monitored and adjusted on a yearly basis by the Technology Management Committee, which is comprised of representatives from each of the schools, as well as representatives of support staff, administrators, students and parents.
The Technology Department at Pittsford Central School District is responsible for the installation and maintenance of approximately 6,000 computers for student and staff use. The Director of Technology oversees Network Technicians, Instructional Technology Support Specialists and Instructional Technology Teachers.
