I have been a technology and Project Lead the Way master teacher at Pittsford for 15 years. Prior to teaching at Pittsford, I taught in the Rush-Henrietta and Churchville-Chili school districts. Before entering the education/teaching field I was a surveyor, civil engineer, site designer and construction inspector/manager for 22 years.
In the 2018-2019 school year I will be teaching Design and Drawing for Production (DDP), Principles of Engineering (POE) and Communications Systems. I have previously taught the Project Lead the Way - Gateway to Technology programs (GTT - Middle School) and Engineering Design and Development (EDD - High School). I have also taught traditional technology courses such as Construction Systems, Manufacturing Systems, Production Systems, and Transportation Systems.
This school year I will be using the Learning Managment System called Canvas. On Canvas students will be able to access every assignment, presenation and video that we will be using the whole year. Students can download the app to be able to access the curriculum on their smartphones. Students will also be able to get notifications and updates when assignments are posted, due and graded. Students will also receive notifications on upcoming quizzes. Once I grade an assignment or quiz, students will also have immediate feedback. Their quizzes will all be taken online and once submitted students will immediately receive their grade. Students will be able to access the curriculum anywhere in the world as long as they have an internet connection.
All material on the Canvas is copywrite material from Project Lead the Way, I will not be able to post any of the copywrite material here on my website. To access the material students need to access the Mendon High School website and the select Canvas from the Students tab.
