Hi! My name is Brittany Pilger. This is my 12th year in Education and my 5th year in the district. Teaching is a passion of mine! This year is sure to be full of fun, learning, and plenty of adventures. I cannot wait to see what is in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little about me!

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I moved to Pittsford, New York in 2016 because my husband and his family run a local pizza business. Before teaching, I completed my undergraduate work at the University of North Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree with a focus on Elementary Education. I hold my Master's Degree in Literacy Education from SUNY Brockport. My experience has been teaching kindergarten- second grade. In Dallas, I was also an Instructional Dean, coaching kindergarten- second grade teachers on instructional practices to best meet the needs of the children we served.

Outside of school, I love to spend time with my husband, Joe and son, Decklan. Decklan was born in August of 2018. He is growing leaps and bounds and is so fun to be around! Every day is an exciting adventure together. We enjoy spending time playing outside and watching football in a house that is truly divided (for me- Dallas Cowboys and for Joe- Buffalo Bills), visiting with friends and family.

I am looking forward to a great year in Second Grade!
