My name is Briana Parzych and I am a part time Speech-Language Pathologist at Calkins Road Middle School. I hold my NYS Licensure, a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and my Professional Teaching Certificate. Prior to my time at Calkins Road MS, I was a Speech-Language Pathologist at Brockport CSD, Marcus Whitman CSD and Rochester Hearing and Speech Center. I have a variety of experience working with students from preschool through high school and am very excited to be working with middle school students at CRMS!
I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a B.S. in Communication Disorders and Sciences and then from SUNY Fredonia with a M.S. in Speech Pathology. During my time at SUNY Geneseo, I also played on the Women's Basketball team as a point guard for four years and while at SUNY Fredonia, I served as a graduate assistant for the Communication Disorders and Sciences Department.
My husband, Greg, teaches Social Studies and Economics at Naples CSD along with being the Athletic Director for the district. We have an eleven month old daughter who keeps us very busy and laughing every day. I am a huge sports fans and have coached soccer, basketball and lacrosse at the modified, JV and varsity levels since graduating from college. I also love hiking, reading and spending time with my family. I look forward to supporting and collaborating with students at Calkins Road Middle School as they strive to reach their goals and also have some fun along the way!
