Hi Fifth Graders! My name is Ms. Cregan! This is my third year teaching at Pittsford. My first year, I taught Second Grade remotely which was definitely a year to remember. I then taught Second Grade again last year so this is my first year in 5th Grade! I cannot be more excited to start a new chapter in my teaching career. As for some background about me, I grew up in Brighton which is super close to Pittsford and from there attended SUNY Geneseo for my Bachelors in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. I then went to Nazareth College where I received my Masters in Inclusive Childhood Education.

I love to spend time with my family, which includes my mom, dad, older sister, and older brother. I also have two cats who are the most adorable and cuddly cats. I love to read! Give me some warm Rochester weather, a lounge chair, and you'll find me there reading a book! I also played lacrosse at SUNY Geneseo and have continued that passion into coaching! I cannot wait to learn about you and see if we have any common interests. 

This year will be all about independency and group work. We are going to prepare you for 6th grade so that the transition from elementary school to middle school can be as seamless as possible! We will also be focusing on writing and being able to take our ideas in our head and create a strong, clear, and well defended response. We are also going to be working in groups and showing that we can be collaborative and respectful members.
