Note to my 2019 - 2020 students: I miss each of you and hope you are doing well. Thank you for continuing to practice and develop your math skills by working on the assignments listed on the homework calendar (see sidebar). In case you would like other ideas, see the list I created below.
Math related ideas for you to do while at home:
* Play a board game
* Teach a family member how to play Pico, Fermi, Bagels and then play
* Play Pico, Fermi, Bagels with a classmate (use Facetime or some other technology with visual access)
* Use math games/activities linked to my website and let me know what you try and what you think of each
* Find a recipe you like and double or triple it. With parent permission, create the recipe for the family.
As a lifelong resident of Pittsford and a graduate of Pittsford Mendon High School, I am proud to be teaching at Barker Road Middle School. Since 1995 I have been teaching mathematics in the district. My passion is to help students grow personally, as well as to build their confidence and skills in mathematics.
