Mrs. Thomas has been a member of the Pittsford Central School District Board of Education since 2013. Thomas has served as Board of Education President since 2017 and as Vice President in 2016-2017.  Thomas has also served on the Monroe County School Boards Association (MCSBA) as President of the Association in 2020-2021 and Vice President in 2019-2020; Legislative and Budget Committees; and Co-Chair of the Information Exchange Committee.  She was selected to participate in the 2020 NYSED Regional Task Force to reopen schools; she has served as a member of the PCSD Negotiating Team; as the District’s 2013-2014 New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) voting delegate; as co-chair of the Calkins Road Middle School Pittsford Parent Teacher Student Association; and as a member of the CRMS principal search committee.

Currently, Thomas is an Officer of MCSBA, participating in MCSBA Board Presidents, Executive, and Steering Committees; a member of the Pittsford Town/Village/School District Leadership Team; and a member of the PCSD Advocacy Steering Committee. Thomas is also involved with the Golisano Children’s Hospital Gala, Ronald McDonald House Charities, URMC Toast to Your Health, and the Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation.

Thomas holds a B.S. in Education from SUNY Geneseo; is married and has four children, who attended Allen Creek Elementary School, Calkins Road Middle School and Sutherland High School.

Ted Aroesty

Mr. Aroesty has been a member of the Pittsford Central School District Board of Education since 2014. Aroesty is Executive Director of the Brighton Fire District, co-owner of Jet-X Delivery Service and CFO of Holiday Outreach. He has been a 35-year volunteer for the Brighton Fire Department, serving as its Chief from 2003 to 2005 and was a soccer coach for the Pittsford Mustangs from 2006 to 2012.

Mr. Aroesty has served on the BOE’s Communications and Messaging sub-committee and Budget Communication Committee. He has served as a member of the PCSD Negotiating Team.   He served for three years on the Monroe County School Boards' Information Exchange Committee.  Aroesty served on the Board’s Audit Oversight Committee for six years, chairing for five.

He is a member of the Pittsford Town/Village/School District Leadership Team; a member of the PCSD Advocacy Steering Committee; and a member of the MCSBA Board Presidents. He also serves on the MCSBA Labor Relations Committee.

Aroesty holds a B.S. in Business from Indiana University and is married with three daughters. Two daughters graduated from Sutherland High School in 2017 and the third in 2021.

Mr. Casey is serving his first term as a member of the Pittsford Central School District Board of Education, and serves on the District’s Audit Committee, and the Communications and Messaging sub-committee. He is a New York State Licensed Attorney, Senior Counsel at Xerox, and a Member of the NYS and Monroe County Bar Associations. He is a past chair of the Monroe County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Section, and currently volunteers with the University at Buffalo Law School Mentor Program in which he mentors first-year law students with adjustment to law school, internships, and career prospects.

Casey holds a J.D. from the University of Buffalo; B.A. in History from SUNY Fredonia. He is married and the parent of two Park Road Elementary School students.

Ms. Pelusio is serving her first term as a member of the Pittsford Central School District Board of Education. She currently serves as the Board of Education liaison to the Pittsford Teacher Center Policy Board and member of BOE subcommittee on Community Engagement. Additionally, Pelusio serves on the Monroe County School Board Association (MCSBA) Information Exchange committee.

Pelusio has served as President of the Pittsford District PTSA, PTSA Legislative Chair, District Planning Team, Allen Creek Elementary PTSA Co-chair and SHAPE UP PCSD. Additionally, Pelusio is a former member of the PCSD Reopening/Scenario Planning Committee, PCSD Instructional Leadership Council, District Advocacy Team (Full-Day K and Foundation Aid Funding), and Parent Advisory Council to the Superintendent.

Ms. Sanchez-Kazacos has been a member of the Pittsford Board of Education since 2017.  She currently serves as a Board of Education member or the Audit Oversight Committee, member of BOE subcommittee on Community Engagement, and member of BOE subcommittee on Communication and Messaging, and she was a Teacher Center Policy Board BOE liaison from 2017-2021.

In addition, she has been an Educational Coordinator for the National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, N.Y.

Sanchez-Kazacos has more than 20 years of experience as a public school teacher. She is currently a social studies teacher in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District. Throughout her career as an educator, she has been a member of the New York Council for Social Studies and the Rochester Council for Social Studies. She has been a local member of ED5/6 since 2017 that has allowed her the opportunity to advocate for students and schools by participating in the Committee of 100 in Albany. She has served as a New York State United Teachers voting delegate, and has participated in negotiations for the Annual Professional Performance Review process.

Sanchez-Kazacos received both her B.A. and M.A. in Education from SUNY Fredonia. She and her husband have two children who attend Barker Road Middle School and Mendon High School.

Mrs. Scott is serving her first term as a member of the Pittsford Central School District Board of Education. Scott has served as President of the Pittsford District PTSA, PTSA President-Elect, Vice President of the Education Council, Chair of Enrichment Grants, District PTSA Secretary and Thornell Road School Building Chair.

Additionally, Scott is a former member of the District Planning Team, Inclusivity Advisory Committee, the Code of Conduct Review committee, Teacher Center Policy Board and interview committees. She has participated in Generation Ready workshops and training sessions. Scott has also served with the Rochester chapters of Links Incorporated, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and Girl Scouts of Western New York.

Currently, Mrs. Scott serves on the MCSBA Legislative committee and as the Legislative Liaison from PCSD, and previously served on the MCSBA Information Exchange committee in 2020-21.  Additionally, Scott serves on the Audit Oversight committee and our Community Engagement sub-committee.

She is the recipient of the 2020 PTSA Honorary Life Membership Award.

Scott holds a B.A. from Rhodes College in International Studies and an M.A. from the University of Michigan in Near Eastern studies. She is married with one child who graduated from Pittsford Mendon High School.

Peter Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan has served the community as a member of the Pittsford Central School District Board of Education since 2010. He has served as Board of Education president (2014-2016) and as vice president (2013-2014); as a member of the Monroe County School Boards Association (MCSBA) Executive, Legislative, and Information Exchange committees; as a member of the Town/Village/School District Leadership Team; and as president, vice president, and treasurer of the Pittsford Panthers Youth Football and Cheerleading Club (2000-2008).

Currently, Sullivan sits on the MCSBA Committee Labor Relations Committee and the Communications Outreach Advisory Council (COAC). He also chairs the BOE’s Communications and Messaging sub-committee.

Sullivan is the Marketing Content Lead for ITX Corporation; he is also Founder and President of lexperitus, a content development firm assisting busy professionals in the legal and high tech industries. He holds a B.A. in Communications/Journalism from St. John Fisher College and an M.B.A. with a Marketing concentration, also from Fisher. He is married and has three children, each of whom graduated from Pittsford Mendon High School.
