Pittsford Central School District is again partnering with Natalie McGee from Progression Partners to help evaluate and ensure an optimal learning environment for all PCSD students. McGee and Orlando Benzan, Pittsford Schools’ Coordinator of Equity and Inclusivity, conducted focus groups this fall with Pittsford students, parents and teachers, visited secondary schools and met with principals as part of the District’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.

The focus groups offered the opportunity for in-depth dialogue with students, parents and teachers regarding diversity, equity and inclusion while “equity walks” through the secondary schools and discussions with principals helped shed a light on areas of success as well as key challenges to address. “The end goal is to get a better perspective on what we are doing, what is working well, and what needs to be strengthened,” said Superintendent Pero.
