Pittsford Paraprofessional Receives News 8 Golden Apple Award
Congratulations to Barbara Cain, a paraprofessional at Thornell Road Elementary School who was selected for a News 8 Golden Apple Award! Cain was nominated for this award by Sasha Dass, a parent whose child benefits from Mrs. Cain’s work in the classroom. “She has changed my child’s life and made it a priority to make him feel included,” said Dass.
As a former nurse, Cain has made it her life’s work to take care of people and enjoys continuing that passion in the classroom. “Mrs. Cain supports over forty students every day and uses every minute of her time helping those around her. When her name is mentioned, the students just light up,” said Principal Edward Foote.
