New Strategic Plan to Guide the Future of Pittsford Schools

Pittsford Central School District has developed a new Strategic Plan that will serve as a roadmap for the future of the district, reflecting the voices, values, and aspirations of the entire school community.

Developed over the course of the 2025–26 school year, the plan is the result of a collaborative effort involving hundreds of dedicated participants and input from thousands of students, staff members, families, and community stakeholders. Through surveys, focus groups, community conversations, and a Community Input Day held in May, community members shared their experiences, identified priorities, and helped shape a shared vision for the future of Pittsford Schools.

“At the heart of this plan is our district’s mission to work collaboratively to inspire and prepare students to be their best, do their best, and make a difference in the lives of others,” said Superintendent Shana Cutaia. “Every priority, goal, and action within this document is grounded in that shared commitment,” she said.

Throughout the planning process, the district examined a wide range of data, including academic achievement, social-emotional learning, finance, human resources, and student and staff wellness, to better understand its strengths and identify opportunities for growth. The District Planning Team then analyzed that data and the community input to develop recommendations that were further refined during a Summer Leadership Workshop attended by students, parents, teachers, support staff, administrators, PTSA representatives, community members, and the Board of Education.

The Strategic Plan establishes priorities and actionable strategies that will guide district decision-making, align resources, and measure progress in the years ahead. It reflects Pittsford's ongoing commitment to academic excellence, meaningful belonging, and continuous improvement.

“This plan is more than a document. It is a commitment that will help us align our resources, focus our efforts, measure our progress, and celebrate our successes as we strive toward our shared vision,” said Superintendent Cutaia.
