Working Through the Transition Together

As we begin the new school year, we want to acknowledge that the first few weeks may come with some challenges as we implement changes to our transportation system. Our drivers and staff are adjusting to new routes, new schedules, and in many cases, new assignments. Why These Changes Were Made

The District conducted the transportation study to identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce disruptions, and better allocate resources. As a result, we’ve made targeted adjustments to eliminate some bus runs and reduce the overall number of routes.

These changes have allowed us to:

• Improve on-time performance across most routes
• Minimize last-minute route cancellations
• Reduce the number of drivers required, easing the current staffing shortage

Through this reconfiguration, we remain committed to student safety and dependable service, while using our resources more strategically.

What Families Can Expect

As these changes take effect, families may notice:

• Slightly longer ride times for some students (generally between 2 to 8 minutes)
• Updated pickup times and revised bus stop locations in certain areas
• New drivers on several restructured routes

While we are confident these updates will lead to long-term improvements, we appreciate your patience as we work to stabilize operations in the early weeks of school.
