Pittsford Pride was at its peak during Homecoming Week from October 2 to 6. Students participated in various themed days such as jersey day, neon/tie-dye day, anything-but-backpack day, and afternoon pep rallies.
The highlight of the week was the football game on Friday, October 6, when the Pittsford Panthers took on East High under the lights at Sutherland High School's Ordiway Field. Despite the weather, the stands were packed with cheering crowds.
While East emerged victorious over Pittsford, 27-17, it was a well-played game and spirits were high.
Philip Noyes kicked a 40-yard field goal at the end of the 1st half to get Pittsford on the score board. Touchdowns were scored by Hayes Denning with a 6-yard run in the 3rd quarter, and Jon Moore with a 15-yard run at the end of the 4th quarter.
During halftime, Pittsford Athletics honored the following individuals with induction into the Hall of Fame:
- Kyle Borshoff (SHS ’06) - Section V and NYS champion in wrestling.
- Sarah Jane Clifford (Bernhardy) (’73) - Competed in gymnastics, swimming & diving, and field hockey. Former Pittsford Gymnastics coach.
- Jason DeJoy (accepted by Arlene DeJoy-Meckes and Coach Christopher Compson.) – Former Mendon cross country coach with multiple Section V champions and 2013 state championship. 2015 inductee into the Section V Cross Country Hall of Fame.
- Shaylyn Tuite (MHS ’11) – 8x individual Section V champion in Cross Country and Indoor Track and Field. 2016 inductee into the Section V Hall of Fame.
