25th Annual Rainbow Classic Raises $32,000 for Golisano Children’s Hospital
The 25th annual Rainbow Classic basketball games played on December 19, 2025, raised $32,000, helping Pittsford Schools exceed $650,000 for Golisano Children's Hospital over the past quarter century. During this sold out event at the University of Rochester Palestra, the Pittsford community showed up ready for two exciting games, and Pittsford's basketball teams did not disappoint. At the end of two hard-fought competitions, the final scores were: Girls Varsity Basketball - SHS 49/MHS 40; Boys Varsity Basketball - SHS 58/MHS 48.
Since the Rainbow Classic began, PCSD has raised over $650,000 for Golisano Children’s Hospital. The Rainbow Classic was established in memory of Park Road Elementary School student Katelyn Pasley. It later expanded to include the memory of 2002 Sutherland High School graduate Ryan McCluski. The event now honors the memory of many Pittsford students as the community comes together to support the Golisano Children’s Hospital and pay tribute to the memory of loved ones.
The funds raised from the Rainbow Classic have supported numerous hospital initiatives, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Program, the Teen Lounge, and the Pediatric Palliative Care Program. This year's proceeds from the event will help fund the Mobile Care Unit which will allow Golisano Children's Hospital to go into communities to provide services when families cannot travel to the hospital.
