Join us in reaching out to NYS Governor Hochul to ask for Pittsford's fair share of state aid

Join us in reaching out to NYS Governor Hochul to ask for Pittsford's fair share of state aid

Pittsford Schools has only received a 1% average increase in Foundation Aid over the past couple of years. With the consumer price index for public education expenses rising an average of 3%, this leaves PCSD with a $1.5 million budget gap.

Instead of using Foundation Aid for its intended purpose of supporting basic K-12 education functions, the state is earmarking Foundation Aid funds for programs outside of it. Without adequate New York State Foundation Aid, the District is looking for creative ways to balance the budget while preserving programs, protecting taxpayers and staying within the tax cap.

Please consider writing to Governor Hochul to improve Foundation Aid to levels that will at least provide the promised adequate educational funding.

Thank you for your consideration.
