I grew up right here in Pittsford, attending Jefferson Road, Pittsford Middle, and Sutherland High schools. I earned a dual-major Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Elementary Education, with a minor in French, from SUNY Cortland. Upon graduating, I decided to stay in Cortland to earn a Master of Science in Education, N-6 (nursery to grade 6), with a concentration in Curriculum & Instruction. In September 2021, I am starting my sixteenth year at Park Road Elementary School as a third grade teacher. Previously, I taught sixth grade for 7 years in two nearby (NY) districts, and preschool (yes, really!) in Maine for three years. I think I have the greatest job in the world!

        When I am not teaching, you’ll likely find me at home working on a project around my house or maybe taking a walk with my wife, Dawn. I’ve been married for 23 years and have two children: a son, Spencer, who is 22, and a daughter, Abby, who is 19. Both are proud Sutherland grads like me! I am an Eagle Scout & an active volunteer scout leader, so I love camping. I also enjoy reading, motorsports, baseball and football. I’m an unapologetic Red Sox and Patriots fan, even though I grew up in New York!  We currently have one cat named Winnie. A few years ago, we had 2 dogs and 4 cats, so I definitely love pets!
