MHS Students Earn Top 10 Finish in National Virtual Enterprise Competition

Congratulations to Mendon High School students Maris Lindley, Mark LoMaglio and Noah Lucia for their seventh-place finish among 40 teams in the National Virtual Enterprise (VE) Competition, landing them among the top Virtual Enterprise businesses in the country!

The students traveled to New York City on Monday, April 4, 2022, with their business teacher, Kristie Burch, after earning first place in the northeast regional competition earlier this year for their VE company, Horizon. During the national competition, they shared a 10-minute presentation, endured lengthy Q and A sessions from industry judges, advanced to the semi-final round of the top 20 teams, and then on to the final round of the top 8 teams.

The students’ VE company, Horizon, is a subscription-based vintage clothing company with a mission to provide sustainable, fashionable clothing options while minimizing clothing waste and environmental stressors. See their award-winning work at #PittsfordPride
