Pittsford Interact Club Recognized by Salvation Army for Holiday Volunteering

Last month, student members of the Pittsford Interact Club renewed a holiday tradition in the spirit of caring for others by participating in the 2022 Battle of the Bells with the Salvation Army of Greater Rochester. Students stood outside Marshall’s and Traders Joes stores in Pittsford ringing bells at the iconic Red Kettles and soliciting donations. Their volunteer efforts raised a total of $830.45, placing them number one in the “Social or Sports Club” category for funds raised.

Donations from the red kettle campaign stay local and make a year-round impact in the Rochester community through social services assistance, homeless shelters, disaster relief, children’s programs, rehabilitation services, anti-human trafficking, and more.

Pittsford Interact Club will receive a plaque during a Gratitude Gathering Celebration on January 26, recognizing the exceptional efforts of the Salvation Army’s volunteers and community partners.
